K.Hari Babu, IJECS Volume 2 Issue 11 November, 2013 Page No. 3192-3196 Page 3192 Abstract— This paper proposes a high capacity reversible image watermarking scheme based on integer wavelet transforms. The proposed scheme divides an input image into non-overlapping blocks and embeds a watermark into the high frequency wavelet coefficients of each block. The conditions to avoid both underflow and overflow in the spatial domain are derived for an arbitrary wavelet and block size. The payload to be embedded includes not only messages but also side information used to reconstruct the exact original image. To minimize the mean-squared distortion between the original and the watermarked images given a payload, the watermark is adaptively embedded into the image. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme achieves higher embedding capacity while maintaining distortion at a lower level than the existing reversible watermarking schemes.

Reversible Image Watermarking for Health Informatics Systems Using Distortion Compensation in Wavelet Domain

Reversible image watermarking guaranties restoration of both original cover and watermark logo from the watermarked image. Capacity and distortion of the image under reversible watermarking are two important parameters. In this study a reversible watermarking is investigated with focusing on increasing the embedding capacity and reducing the distortion in medical images. Integer wavelet transfo...

Reversible Image Authentication with Tamper Localization Based on Integer Wavelet Transform

In this paper, a new reversible image authentication technique with tamper localization based on watermarking in integer wavelet transform is proposed. If the image authenticity is verified, then the distortion due to embedding the watermark can be completely removed from the watermarked image. If the image is tampered, then the tampering positions can also be localized. Two layers of watermark...

Reversible Semi-fragile Image Authentication Using Zernike Moments and Integer Wavelet Transform

Semi-fragile image authentication based on watermarking has drawn extensive attention. However, conventional watermarking techniques introduce irreversible distortions to the host signals and thus may not be allowable in some applications such as medical and military imaging. Though some reversible fragile authentication algorithms had been developed, reversible semi-fragile authentication pres...

Reversible watermarking method based on adaptive thresholding and companding technique

Embedding and extraction of a secret information as well as the restoration of the original un-watermarked image is highly desirable in sensitive applications like military, medical, and law enforcement imaging. This paper presents a novel reversible data-hiding method for digital images using integer to integer wavelet transform and companding technique which can embed and recover the secret i...
